Too bad this is in Santa Rosa. Just a bit too far to go look.

To my knowledge, no Dano Pro bass was ever sold by Danelectro. This is a neck swap. That's not a bad thing, if you use the right neck, or make the right modifications to the body.
I've built two myself. One was with a longhorn neck (I had to lengthen the neck pocket). For the other, I used an aftermarket 22-fret short scale neck. A Danelectro 63 short- or long-scale neck would have worked, also, but I couldn't find one.
So this is probably a long-scale 63 neck on, and probably right.
It's probably a bit neck-heavy, but some people don't mind that, I guess. Or maybe it's not.
And it's a good price, if you're interested.
Unless you're using "Pro" as a model name? I have to disagree; I own 2 of them. 1st generation (late 1990's), left handed DC59 Pro models. Aside from coming stock with the adjustable bridge, they also came with regular, Gotoh - style bass tuners. Other than that? Just 34" scale, silver metalflake Masonite/plywood Danos...![]()
I have found images of what they are calling a Pro-1. Same body but different pickup configuration and where the switch is located.

Pro is a specific Danelectro model name. IIRC the originals were short-scale "student models."
Yours is a DC, which is a different model.
That looks more like a shortscale neck to me.
I’d love one of those Pro bodied basses.
Looking at the picture of the Santa Rosa one again, I see that it's a 24-fret neck, probably also from a longhorn. I didn't look carefully the first time, and I incorrectly assumed it must be a 63 bass neck, but it's not that. 63 basses had 21 or 22 frets. I don't remember exactly, but fewer than 24. And I didn't think there were ever any 24-fret long-scale Danelectro necks. I don't have my long-scale DC bass handy, but I think it's 21 or 22 frets.

I was wrong. Long-scale 63 neck are 24 frets. I found this photo. So it could be a long-scale neck, and if so, it should intonate correctly.
I had a long scale 63 for a bit , but it was very neck heavy and didn’t last.
I really wish they’d do a bass version with the Pro body.
Unless it has a super-short neck the neck-dive will be killer. It is on the 6-string guitars so a longer bass neck will be much worse.

Thanks. I’m currently trying to reduce inventory. Sold an Ampeg B-100r and have someone coming this week to pickup an Epi Thunderbird Pro IV. That still leaves a Music Man Sixty-five with matching 115RH cab and a Trace Elliot 2103H cab. I need to all of those out before I look at adding.I live right down the road from Santa Rosa. If somebody really wanted this instrument, I’d be happy to go check it out and get it for them and ship it. No guarantees I wouldn’t keep it though. Once I go check it out. Drop me a PM if you’d like me to go on your behalf,
