An effects loop would have been useful for me. The only thing I have in front of my drive right now is my octave, everything else is after. Still gonna buy it though lol.

I want to like this. ...but I fear it just isn't for me.

Every demo I've heard (and I completely understand considering who it was developed for) it is very can-o-beans and modern. I tend to be more overdrive, round, and classic.

I like me some clanky tones but I don't like the can o bees sound either. I think it's why I prefer the Vintage tones to some of the more extreme "X" ones. But my clank is underscored by more of an old-school warmth. And the clank is more of a solid bell-tone with a sometimes fuzzy edge.

For a real can o bees, I always thought of my old Boss ODB-3. That's like smashing open the hive.

I saw some demos that might seem to hint at maybe some warmer, rounder tones. So... maybe.

Unless there's additional stored settings that can be accessed via a MIDI controller, 3 for a live setup just isn't enough. Hell, it REALLY isn't enough for recording either. Although I am down to one bass now, back when when I had several, I would have several settings for each bass. The BassPOD could store LOTS. lol. ...but I had a nice clean and even sounding tone for all of my basses. At one point, that was 3. I also had a super fat tone. A mild overdrive/distortion. Super distorted and then insanely distorted. I'd have both more modern and classic versions of these. I would have dozens stored. For recording, I could just all up something and tweak from there. As it stands, it looks like ADAM is a tweakers paradise on bass but without more than save spots, eep. REALLY hoping a MIDI switcher can access more than 3. Bank through them and so on.

@Darkglass Does the ADAM only have the 3 preset slots or can more be saved in software and maybe accessed by a MIDI controller? I ask as 3 might be great for one bass but I tend to have settings specific to a specific bass.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear, @Darkglass! Thanks so much!

Any idea what the access will look like at this point? ...or too early? What I mean is will the MIDI controller just be a one button click that changes the "bank" that the 3 buttons on the ADAM access or would it be more needing a 3 button MIDI controller and you can access the 3 new presets there? Either way, I am good.

Just got my Adam and experienced some problems out of the box .
First it wouldn't connect with my Windows 10, and after 3 frustrating hours of trying to solve the possible drivers and usb problems, it comes to faulty usb cable that came with device.

Second thing is that when I finally started playing through it on a headphones since it was late at night, the headphones volume pot from the back started acting weird.
I mean is it meant to be touch sensitive from some reason? Sometimes it's not working at all, and then I touch it, and it starts to be ultra loud. Turning it +/- sometimes work and sometimes not. Then on a light touch it starts to work for a few seconds.

I must say I am a pretty disappointed considering how long do I waited for it to come from Germany.
Now I'm in a dilemma what to do, to return it or not...

X7 (fizzy low-pass), Hyper Luminal (bypass sucks), Adam (headphones and more), a new Duality (it has more gain than in its first versions)... I was a biggest fan of DG and i have purchased their every pedal until X Ultra (not enough lows as it comes with X7 v.2).

I haven’t played with volume yet, didn't have a time.
At the rehearsal, I just played up with the sound presets for now, although I have a question:

I set up three presets with three different drive sounds, but....

When I press two left switches together (A&B) and turn Adam off, the next time I want for example setup B, and press switch B, Adam turns on but with the last one that was active before shutting down (not preset B).

That gives me a headache in live performance. Only solution that I can think of is to setup preset A as a clean preset, and never to turn off Adam by pressing A&B together, but to switch it to A. Then I would lose one of three presets, and three presets is why I bought the pedal at first place.

Did I miss something in the setup regarding this?
Any thoughts would make my day!
