Darkglass Alpha·Omicron

I was doing an internet search for pricing on the Omicron and Bass Centre was the only place I could find a listing. I Didnt look at the Omega on Bass Centre's site but have seen it listed on many other sites for 349.00.

Why bother to build a transparent OD? The market has tons of them. The market doesn't have many (if any) DG substitutes, so I'd say continuing in that direction is a good idea, seeing as how the demand continues.[/QUOTE]

My board these days has a hefty amount of Darkglass, the SS, Vintage Ultra, the B7K, I was about to add an Alpha Omega but I might add this instead, depends on what the price difference works out to be. The other consideration being will I grab it and use it in a more minimalist setting - when I don't want the entire board? Me, a bass, cable to mixer etc like I do the VU at times, I'd want the extra controls with the Alpha Omega in that case.
Someone in the main Darkglass thread already has one I believe. I've preordered mine (in Aus) and was told an end of September/early October ETA.
not seeing them yet in the northeast US but I've only looked for them the way a lazy man looks for his running shoes. I'm still waffling between the Alpha Omega and this version though.
I just did a search of west coast dealers and no one seems to have the Omicron even listed.

We were in the process of switching US distributors last month which disrupted our product flow, we have been preparing stock all along so next week we'll have a ton of units back in the stores.

We did couple days ago! I estimate that by the end of the week there will be stock in most stores!
I really loved the AO but didn't need all the bells and whistles. I think this might make me much happy!

Not only that but is has a higher dynamic range, meaning it has both more and less gain depending on how you set the Drive and Bite/Growl switches.
