Darkglass Alpha·Omicron

Farty is not a word I'd use to describe any Darkglass, but I do see the Darkglass trend fizzling out in a year or so. They're just too baked in a tone IMO and I think people are going to be moving from it in the near future.

I already own B7K Ultra, Vintage Ultra, and Super Symmetry and I don't see any need for this pedal.

I've played each of those pedals and I'd gladly take this pedal over any or all of them, based on my ownership of the AOmega. The need for this pedal is so that DG can get my money and yours. They already have yours. Well, they already have mine because I own the AO, but I'd buy this one if I didn't. Also, there are people who want the AO sound but can only afford the Ao price.

Why bother to build a transparent OD? The market has tons of them. The market doesn't have many (if any) DG substitutes, so I'd say continuing in that direction is a good idea, seeing as how the demand continues.

Darkglass makes great stuff. I use the Alpha Omega currently and dig it. My alpha omega setting is basically everything a noon except the level knob and both switches on so I'm sure this pedal sounds awesome.

Still would like to see Darkglass branch out a bit. The quality of the pedals are so good i wouldn't mind having more than dirt/compression. How about a Darkglass tuner, octave, delay, envelope filter, or a power supply? Keep it all analog and give us more pedals in these great boxes. A lot of us have boards and we have these amazing quality Darkglass pedals next to cheapos that might as well be made out of plastic in comparison.

I have looked at the pricing on the Omicron and they are showing 349.00 at Bass Centre. Why would you pay that much for the Alpha Omicron when the Alpha Omega is the same price. I figured they would be around the same price as the B3K or VM on the other hand maybe Bass Centre is gouging since they are new and limited in quantity?

Where are you looking? Invalid Link Removed. Maybe something weird with currency conversions? Omicron is supposed to be $100 less than the AO
