Darkglass - Alpha Omega

Good, we need more excuses to not change strings more often!

:D

My hands tend to generate a lot of oil and sweat, so I use Elixir Nanowebs on my #1 bass to avoid frequent string changes. Nanowebs are brighter than the other coated strings I've tried, but still have less "air" than uncoated strings. Obviously I don't yet own an Alpha Omega, but the 2.8-3kHz hi mid boost on either my B7K or B7K Ultra gives me all the 'zing' I want from the Elixirs... or any other strings for that matter, including stale ones. It can be hard to tell when the strings have gone dead!

The stage itself is hardwired to [email protected], but there is some heavy filtering (4th order LPFs and a ton of notches) after it so the net boost is significantly lower.

IME it just adds the right amount of "cut-through" specially when your strings are a bit older or your bass is too heavy on bottom end.

By the way we are shipping to USA and Germany tomorrow and starting the day after to the rest of the world.
Within a week or two all dealers who've ordered them will have them.

As always thanks everyone for the support and interest!

Regards,
Doug.

@Darkglass does this mean that Thomann could potentially be selling it within a couple of weeks? That's awesome news if so! They had the release date down as the 28th of April on their site and I'm hoping they'll hang onto one for me as I pre-ordered it on there a couple of months ago but I can't afford it until the end of the month. I may need to e-mail them and see :)

- It has already been shipped to some suppliers.
- Some important people (Nolly for example) already have the Alpha-Omega.

And we have no reviews yet ?!?!?! :(

Who's going to review it? UPS Delivery Driver #7452? Give it a week, they just left DG HQ 2 days ago to the distributors, distributors need to ship it from there

Like i Said... Some people already have the preamp.
I think Patrick Hunter already has it too.
