I'm not familiar with the B7K either, but with enough messing around can you essentially get whatever blend amount you want and have the same volume on/off?
I always had "trouble" setting this on the b7k and I'm with @sporad , I prefer having the master on the ultraIt's pretty simple actually. If you set the blend all the way and level all the way down the pedal is mute, so setting unity level on the distorted side is extremely easy (then a 50/50 mix is achieved with the blend at noon).
I just prefer to set it to whatever I want to and then control the output with the master.FWIW I never had trouble getting unity gain from my B7K, but I typically set it for low gain OD so maybe that's why?
FWIW I never had trouble getting unity gain from my B7K, but I typically set it for low gain OD so maybe that's why?
Aaaaand they're now out of stock at Thomanntook too long to decide.
Lucky youSame with musik-produktiv now, luckily I was fast enough drool
Lucky you
I was too busy deciding what compressor I wanted because I was getting one at the same time, finally decided on one and went to check out and the AO is out of stock, damit! I could just order one here in Australia but it's an extra $40 thanks to the classic Australia tax.
I also found my B7K to be louder than unity when set to minimum blend. Either bump all the EQ knobs down a bit to act like a makeshift master volume, or simply increase blend and decrease level.
Nice shot!![]()
My god. This thing is awesome. Instant favorite. It sounds so natural/organic and powerful. Incredible work, Doug and team!
