It's really fantastic. It sounds a lot more naturally... amp-ish to me than the B7K. I can't wait to get it on my board and feeding into my Meatsmoke!AO is great at low gain settings too...such a nice OD sound!
Yeap, more "organic" and "saturated", I would say. It's really fantastic. It sounds a lot more naturally... amp-ish to me than the B7K. I can't wait to get it on my board and feeding into my Meatsmoke!
I simply set the Blend all the way up, tweak Level to match the bypass volume and then bring the Blend to the desired mix. It takes 2-3 seconds.
Kind regards,
Doug.
How do you like it with your Thunderbird? That's what I play.On the note of signature, I was curious and looked for the "Simple Boy" sound. It helps that I'm using a Warwick Thumb but MAN it's spot on. I took that as a jumping off point and started crafting my own sound and its just...beast. I feel like this pedal was made for my rig now.
I was about to say, if the B7K was "made" for Dingwall, this was "made" for Warwick. I think it truly shines there, probably because that's a key element of the sound needed for the sonic palette of the Stockman tone. I may be incredibly biased right now because I haven't really touched my bird (heh) in a few months, the strings are pretty dead and I'm running through the headphone out on my OmniCabSim but here's a small sample of the Mod at 11:00 on the Alpha side. I apologize in advance for the lousy demo
It's still monsterous in person. It's still quite a different beast than the BXK's for sure.
Oh yes. It will be mine.I'm so getting one. Sooner than later hopefully. But I will be getting one.
Thanks! Any way to describe the tone difference between the AO and the B7K?
Actually for the folks wondering about the Blend circuit SBL gives a quick rundown at around 11:00 - I of course recommend watching the whole thing as Scott is simply divine (see what I did there?).
