Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

There's a few options here
Really hoping @Pedalnetics works his magic to make one that will fit on a nano board with the anagram.
My FrontAux MIDI from the HXStomp actually fits infront of the Anagram and is about as thin as it gets at just under 1": HX Stomp FrontAux3 MIDI - Pedalnetics and can run my new WebUI-enabled firmware so you can program it to do whatever.

I have a few people using my SideAux MIDI with the Anagrma already (same deal, the new firmware lets you treat it as a full MIDI controller to do whatever you program): HXStomp Compact SideAux MIDI - Pedalnetics

Another option I just did for a QC user is my new "Converter" series, which decouples the large part (the brain) from the switches themselves: Auxidi Converter X6 - Pedalnetics So that can use <any aux switch we make> send MIDI commands, such as 6switch Angled Aux - Pedalnetics or any of our AuxStick or even Morningstar-targetted switches

I have a MIDI version of this in-flight that'd do nicely next to it: Boss ES-5/MS-3 QuadAux - Pedalnetics

And the most complex but wont fit on a nano, a FrontAux MIDI with screens per switch:

@Pedalnetics could your MC6 FrontAux 3 be configured to work with Anagram? That would be a great shape to fit on a Pedaltrain Nano with Anagram on the left, the MC6 at the front of the right side of the Nano with its pigtail coming off the left side of the unit, and then a pedal behind it with an enclosure similar to a Keeley Compressor Pro (3.7” deep x 4.7” wide and with top jacks). That setup might entice me to sell my Judahs Kedem 4 that’s currently doing all of the MIDI work on my board.

I don't believe the Anagram supports regular aux switches, but that's what my Auxidi Converter devices are for: allowing any regular aux switch to send MIDI by moving the midi brains under the board

It would be difficult to make the Auxidi work under a Nano with a power supply. Limited space and possibly incompatible jack locations. Could you build an MC6 style pedal that transmitted MIDI on its own, or is that too much stuff to cram into such a compact enclosure?

Too much to fit into the compact enclosure. That said, I have an X2, X4, and x8 versions of the converter coming out too for some size options.

I just want to say how good @IvanBassist 1964 B15 capture is. It’s subtle in a really good way. Most b15 sims or captures I’ve played through are kind of extreme with eq curves. This still sounds like my bass but with a vintage vibe.
Fun fact: the amp was set flat on those other than some light EQ applied with plugins during capturing

Ivan does indeed appear to put in an enormous amount of time and efforts into his videos, insight and hands on experience with everything he brings to us as fellow bassists and I applaud his contributions, help and responses. Folks like that certainly make this forum a great outlet for sharing and learning.
Thanks for the kind words :)

Another try, has anyone any experience with the OBNE expression ramper? The anagram behaves fairly odd, when I use it. Not usable actually. I havent tried any regular expression pedal yet. I contacted darkglass support, but didn't get an answer so far 😔
@IvanBassist, maybe you can ask for me?
I've forwarded this to the team.

From the Manual of OBNE:
A note on other weirdness: there are many expression standards out there. By manipulating a digital potentiometer, Expression Ramper acts very similarly to the analog potentiometers found in standard expression pedals. However, it can sometimes be confused by voltages as noted above, and does not do well when manipulating AC signals.

In order to have a multifunction jack (effects loop and expression pedal), the Anagram expression pedal signal is AC and works best with analog potentiometers.

Hello everyone,

Maybe this has already been asked, but most of the time when using the Anagram, I need both a clean sound and a distorted sound.
My main issue is getting the same output level between the two — the distorted tone often sounds louder or more compressed.
I’ve tried most of the blocks, but I still have a hard time managing this.
Do you have any tips or tricks to balance them properly?

Thank you for your help

Which block are you using for the distortion?

I tried the B3K / Microtubes X /Entropia
It's almost well balanced but not completely and I really dont know at this point where to look
thank you for your help
For the B3k, you need to play around with the Blend and Drive level to find the right balance between the effect On and Off.
For the Microtubes X and Entropia, a quick hack would be to place a Gain block after the drive and toggle both the Distortion and Gain block at the same time to match the volume of your clean signal.

Thanks for that @IvanBassist . My version of the manual does not actually contain that info.

It's a real bummer for me though, especially since the effects loop adds some kind of low quality sounds, when I use it to put sth similar in the loop (Dusk Dr. Scientist with the expression to ramp the LPF). Has anyone had any sound quality issue with the effects loop?
Workaround is to put it in the chain after the anagram which takes away the option to go directly to foh with that filter opening up.

Which brings me to that feature "someone" requested on anagram answers: Built in Expression Ramper

Thanks Ivan, need some additionnal tweakings, but the gain Block does the trick, I dont know I was a little bit hesitant to use a gain block after distorsion ....

Another question on this? May the attempt of using the OBNE expression ramper have damaged the expression input?
