That gif is sooooo me  - I bought the Crux, and the double up power cables in case I want to use my Sol to power it over the DC7 depending on the circumstance. I just need the darn pedal to get here, lol... I was told by my dealer that it would be here next week, so we will see if that indeed happens.

In terms of power, just got the Walrus Canvas Hp (link) and was disappointed to learn that to power it, you need a laptop-like power brick that is as big if not bigger than the actual unit, which kinda defeats the purpose of it.

So I tested the True tone Cs6 powering the Anagram + Shure GLDX and so far so good, regardless of the power demands said on paper. I asked True tone support and they told me "I doubt it's really 2A, just try it with the corresponding adaptors and it might just be enough" and so far it has been. Will test on band practice next week.

DG addressed the power consumption in one of the Q&A’s / interviews and it is largely load dependent. It won’t need the full 2A if you’re running a block or two, but consumption will increase as you add more blocks and start running models. FWIW my HXFX is running off of a Strymon PDU with a current doubler and it has been fine except for an occasional boot issue.

The Walrus HP is pretty much the same size as the CIOKS DC7, which surprised me as well and the latter only *just* fits under a Rockboard Tres 3.0. Ended up sending back the HP and kept the Crux for my purposes. Hopefully the CS6 does the trick!

I really don't see why guitarists are moaning. They have many great options when it comes to modelers that focus on guitar effects, amps, cabs, etc. Many of those modelers do have some bass stuff, but it's clearly an afterthought. Darkglass is a company focused on the bass market and they have clearly established themselves in it. Maybe in the future they'll add more products focusing on guitars, but for now no one should be surprised that a product from them focuses on the bass guitar.

I don’t think guitarists are moaning at all, I do think folks on TB are over reaching and over thinking this… which is the norm 🤣

I know some of you who haven't got the Anagram yet were wondering about more clean tones being heard in demos. There's a lot of examples in this video below and it's a great demo overall. I can't wait to test mine out on a gig, it's a blast to play with.

For me, the best demo so far.

This confirms that this was the right purchase decision for my needs, and being bass-only is such an advantage from my perspective. I don’t want to twiddle, I want to quickly setup the sounds and effects that I need and move on. I much prefer to focus on playing, gigging and my technique… it appears that this pedal will help me do that.

I love my Stomp XL’s but definitely looking forward to transitioning to the Anagram and selling off one of my XL’s.

Useable presets right out of the box is nice.
Bass centric is also nice.
XLR outs is also nice.
If I fall into some coin I may yet give it a try.
Till them my Stomp is working out fine.
Yep, It’s these features that are pushing me forward.

Economically, for me it’s easy to justify… by selling off one of my XLs this will fund over 1/2 the Anagram… and I still have a backup to revert if needed. I gig quite a bit, so the rest I just chalk up to tools of the trade.

The Harmonic Booster and Super California both sound really nice in this video. I couldn't tell which cab or NAM/IR it was going through. The opening shot looked like a 215 cab, but then when it cuts to the actual chain the cab wasn't visible. I was not a fan of the Noble, Marshall or GK as they were dialed in. That surprised me as I've been a fan of the Noble, and GK has always been high on my list of favorites. The Fender and Ampeg sims were just okay to my ears. The Fender felt a little bloated down low, and the Ampeg was excessively scooped in the midrange for my liking. I'm sure all of these could be corrected by dialing in the block's controls differently or adding an EQ before or after the amp sim. Regardless of personal tastes, the Anagram is sounding very nice.

The opening shot is a Darkglass 212 cab. Funnily enough I'm not overly fond of the Darkglass 12" cab sims yet I own one of those cabs in real life and like it a lot 🤷‍♂️
