Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

Well... I mean the Helix ones are OK. But the drives aren't amazing. The NAM ones are. You can't do mudulation or reverb with NAM. but I'd be surprised if those were wildly better in Helix than Anagram.

Plus amazing amps and drives... Plus a few mod pedals... Better than Helix IMO.

FTR I've used Helix and NAM professionally for a long time now. Helix for years and years. NAM for over a year, including on an entire album over just finished. Helix didn't get a look in on the album.

Thanks. What might be a dealbreaker is the absence of an expression pedal input. I don’t get why they didn’t include that?

I have a Helix floor and have literally never once used the foot pedal. And in fact mine was been broken for a year and I didn't notice. My songwriting partner knew and thought I knew. Lol.

I'm not maybe the norm, but also, maybe I am!

Plus that pedal is the weakest point of the Helix. They had to replace countless units because of was dodgy.

Maybe the reward to companies isn't worth the hassle. If I'd been voting I'd have voted against adding it.

Just my 2 cents.

Do you only use TONE3000? Could you give me a list of your best pedal or amp catches? Or your top 3? Basic I use the: PULTEC EQ - SANSAMP DRIVE - AMPEG SVT - CAB - RE20 PULTEC EQ - SANSAMP DRIVE - AMPEG SVT - CAB - RE20 NAM Profile · TONE3000 + a Rat NAM. I don't dare to download too much NAM, I'm going to drown afterwards....

The return jack "supports either a stereo return or an expression pedal input."

And while it's not supported yet, I'd be shocked if they don't eventually add the ability to do MIDI expression control.

Ok didn’t know that. If you don’t use the return input then that’s an option. I would have expected though at least one but preferably two separate expression pedal inputs on an unit at this price point.

Ha! I hear yeah.

Well... I use

Ampeg BA 210 V2
Ampeg SVT Classic with 6x10
Ampeg VL502 Chan 2
Nobel

I also use loads of other things for dif faves of drive eg loads of fuzz pedals, sun beta preamp, and even the Kay 703 for really outside tones.

Lol. I'm probably making this more difficult. Sorry.

Can the Anagram do the new Kaamos pedal drive and octaver tones and routing?
Is the Tone Hammer NAM the TH amp or TH DI with AGS? Anyone know?

A resounding yes from me on this in regards to the Kaamos. I had bought the Kaamos before the Angram was announced but thankfully was able to return the Kaamos to the same store and use the cost of it towards getting the Anagram. All three octaves on the Kaamos are included in the Anagram and the drive in the Kaamos is based on the Alpha Omega circuit which of course is also in the Anagram. I split my signal and use the octave on one path and the drive on another and it gives me the exact sound I had with the Kaamos, but also with the option of using a different drive sound if I wanted it. Don't necessarily have to split the signal either and run the octave on the same path as the drive, so all those options are there just like in the Kaamos.

Did the digital Kaamos sound as good as the analog Kaamos (I assume the pedal was an analog device?).

New firmware v1.1.1 has been released
