Darkglass Electronics Fuzz!

Oh. Yes. Can't wait!!!!

I am trying to remember how Spencer described Doug's pedal. I am very curious what the meaning of "duality" would mean in this context. I would almost normally think that would be a blend knob, but it's in the location of the VMT's ERA knob and the B3K's grunt/attack switches, so I assume it's more about the tonal character.

Oh man I can't believe I didn't see this thread until an hour or so ago!! I'm not much of a fuzz head either but I will be getting one of these shortly after it's release. So far everything DG has produced has been phenomenal, IMO. I don't have exp with the harmonic booster, I wish, but the B3/7K and the VMT are just straight awesome. I heard somewhere that the fuzz maybe out around Christmas time but that was a couple months back so it's probably changed by now. Plus, as Doug had stated earlier, he's not completely pleased with it yet so I'm sure he is going to do his very best to be pleased with anything he puts the DG name on. I already believe it will be a stellar pedal. Stellar fuzz anyone????

It's not a tone knob, although it definitely does change the character.

If you mean it's not a traditional tone knob (i.e., an adjustable LPF), then sure---I wouldn't necessarily have expected that. But otherwise I'm not sure how those are different. I would very broadly equate "tone" and "character" with "EQ."

I guess the exception I would make is if the "character" were about the character of the clipping. Then I wouldn't consider that the same.

To put it another way, there's another knob on the pedal labeled "tone"

How many knobs does it have? I was assuming blend/level/fuzz/duality were the four. Does is not have something I'm assuming, or does it have more than four?

OK, I want one, don't know what it is , but I want it.

I have the B7K, Harmonic Booster (very underrated)Vintage OD,

Also, 3 leaf Audio Enabler, and Pwnzor,

I love them all.

I want more

Correct me If I'm wrong but I seem to remember someone saying that it is like 2 different fuzz circuits in one stompbox? Uber excited!!! :hyper:

I wonder what colour its going to be, that pic makes it looks kinda black / blue / green. Hopefully it is a different colour than the B#Ks.

I would think it would be a different color. The B7K and 3 are sort of the same thing. Sort of. The VMT is different kind of beast. So I'd assume the fuzz will be a totally different beast all together. As well as a different color.

I love watching these kind of threads, as the builders share their progress, get feedback, and the input of the prospective buyers evolves the product before it is finished.

Not to mention the cluster of brand enthusiasts leaking GAS everywhere, causing a chain reaction that cumulates in a huge proportion of TB whipped up to a frenzy, drooling in anticipation :)

Okay, I exaggerate.

(a bit :) )
