Yes. Very happy to see this and the dual foot switch B7K finally arriving. I knew about them since my visit to Doug in November 2014 (link in sig).So now I can say that I knew about this since before last NAMM. LOL!!! Glad Doug finally is releasing it!
I think either way, I'm going to enjoy watching people fight about the pricing they don't know and the specs they haven't seen.
It's the TB way.
Nothing gets TB excited.
I thought it refreshing that early on in this thread, there were people who really didn't know about DG's popularity on the FX side of things.
Will people be running the B7K into the VMTD into this head?
And to answer it, yes there are a metric 5h1T-ton of Darkglass fans. People on the amps side probably don't have a lot of exposure to them beyond an occasional mention. But pedal guys love them .
I guess, average = common =/= good. I think their stuff is really good. I think there is a lot of middle of crap that is priced according. I see no reason to pay more for this amp, than for one of their pre amps, and a separate micro that is more powerful than what they offer.
"Tubes" name and amp description at full of Finngrish. I love my Finn friends, and they will be the first to admit translations don't always translate.
Are there actual tubes in the amp? If not then why is it called microtubes? Interested to see how they feel this is different than the million other class D amps.
No tubes. Name is leveraging the marketing of their preamp pedals that use the same name, also without tubes.
So a Class D amp....called microtubes...without tubes...weak.
"Most musicians were happy with compromising sound and power by saving money, weight and space."
I'm taking that phrase of their announcement as "we are going to charge almost double in comparison to other brands for pretty much the same tone"
Anyone complaining about microtubes not containing tubes have clearly never played though one![]()
