I played with a drummer who chewed his tongue on gigs. Yeah, not a pretty sight. No, I stick my tongue out the side of my mouth. Always have. Can’t help it.

We should have a beer together. You are not alone. I’ve been known to pull faces that range from mildly insane to extreme gargoyle.

That's Este you are thinking of probably, from my post above, and it has absolutely NOT overshadowed her bass playing skills. She's highly regarded as a bassist, and as a singer and songwriter for that matter. She and her sisters have been through a lot, including some serious gender discrimination and general a-holeness from one or two famous musicians who are obviously complete idiots but, of course, it still stung Haim I'm certain.... , and she may have misunderstood the focus on her expressions - I believe it's awesome, and she's one of my bass playing idols for the excellent playing the fact that she is visually in the forefront drawing attention to our instrument!I can't quite remember her name, but there is one lady who gets brought up for her bass face quite often around here. As far as I know, it seems to overshadow her bass playing skills, much to her dismay.
