Dean Club!!!

Yes, I got a burst juggernaut from the same place last year ($238)
I just installed some model "J" DiMarzio pickups that l got on sale at Christmas ($95)
Next I have some DR sunbeams to put on ($26)
You get the picture? $359 bucks for a smoking J bass that is better than a fender USA. Yes I have a USA jazz and this is better (except the silly looking logo).
I said it and I'm ready for the hate.

I own a Dean Paramount. I tried to sell it but nobody was interested. That's a good thing. It's a well made, great playing instrument! I just ordered a Juggernaut today for 199.99 shipped (link below.) I'm getting rid of my active stuff and will gig with just these two.

I'm not a fan of the logo. The headstock shape is awesome! I'm going to remove the logo's from mine and leave them blank.

Here's some info from B-Mac about making some waterslide decals to replace the mustache logo should you feel inclined to do so

"someone might be able to use for making a water transfer decal

two different types

one usually for electric and the other for acoustic

Not sure if resolution is high enough for crisp edges.

someone mentioned removing the mustache logo from a headstock and I thought it would be cool to use this

requires ink jet printer and water transfer decal paper "

I asked B-Mac about the odd things sticking out. He said this.

"Someone added strap locks at the top of the upper horn as well as the bass side of the lower bout.

They are quite small and I don’t know what brand they are (yet)

This is the Razor Standard which is active and bolt-on. It has an Ash body

The neck-thru Razor NT had Alder bodies with quilted maple tops

the passive Razor bolt-on had basswood bodies

The Razor Standard, according to my catalogs, only came in an oil-stained gloss natural so when I saw it I jumped on it, plus the price was right.

found it on Invalid Link Removed

pawn shop in Ohio

the Ashwood grain is quite nice and it's not an Ash top...it’s a solid Ash body as the grain is visible all the way around

haven’t played it yet or weighed it

thanks for posting

I appreciate it very much

tell everyone I miss them and their bass stories

when you’re banned all you can see are little blurry thumbnails"

I played mine at a gig last night. None of the guys made any remarks concerning this particular bass (They will let me know if they really like something I bring.) It played well and I thought it sounded good with it's stock strings. TI used it all night. The G string pickup pole alignment was just a hair off. I had a Hipshot Kickass bridge lying around so I installed it and cured that tiny issue.

Dean Juggernaut 4-String Electric Bass Guitar, 3 Tone Classic Black

Just ordered a Juggernaut from Cascio Music. They were great to deal with; I accidentally ordered the black model but they let me swap it out for the sunburst without any problem.

I'm rather excited for it to arrive. I haven't had a J bass since I sold my MIM Fender in the mid 1990s. My Paramount is now my primary player and I'm hoping for similar quality from the Juggernaut.

Can anybody on here identify the particulars about this EP5 via the serial numbers? I have a potential buyer.

I can get the information for you from B-Mac, if you can provide more pictures
Pix of both sides of the headstock and pic of pups w/bridge also help along with seeing the finish and if it’s bolton or neck thru

Earlier has bad ass II bridge

Later has monolithic bridge

both are neck through

both have brass nut

earlier has vertical Dean Script Logo

Later has horizontal Dean Script Logo

all bass wood with flame maple top

all DMT pups

all 3 band active

came in Tiger eye, Trans Black, Tans Brazilia Burst and Trans Amber

Last year as a Neck Thru was 2017

All new Edge Pro starting 2018 are now bolt-on except the USA Edge Pro which is still made as Neck Thru

have real Grover tuners…these tend to be removed and replaced with no-name lookalike tuners.

The earlier Edge Pro with Bad Ass II and is more desireable than the later Edge Pro basses

I have two Edge Pro 4 string basses. One came without a case $249 (Reverb). The other came with an aftermarket case that was defective $300 (CL local)

These have been made by Un Sung and World at different times. (‘US’, ‘E’ and ‘W’ S/N prefix)

So you can see that prices are all over the place and that the 5 stringers do sell for more than the 4 stringers.

I haven't seen any early 5 stringers 2006/2007 out there. Mostly 2008 and later.

I believe he's still analyzing the serial# and then he may have more info
