Nice!I just picked up a Rhapsody 8, with the soft case. It's a fun toy, not sure it's a gigging bass for me, but it's getting used to its new home now.
Please post a pic when you have a chance...and welcome!

Looks like it is in good shape! They are fun to play! I don't gig as I am still a NOOB, but I really like having this in my practice rotation as I really like how it rings out. That's the pic from the listing I bought it from. She's in storage for right now. I'm sorta moving, so by basses are going into storage for a month or two.

Check out Phil Lesh sometimeSo.. I have never actively listened The Grateful Dead. I heard what the radio sent me. A couple months ago, I played Dark Star, and I like to listen to a band before I put fingers to frets. I finally got it! I was asked to fill in for a GD show, and did. I was planning on playing a Jack Casady Bass, but it self destructed (Bridge pulled out of the body). After practicing with a few others in the herd, I ended up playing the Cabbie the whole night, and it was good

Their radio ‘hits’ definitely do not reflect the ‘jam band’ music they play live. I was in the same situation as you as far as ‘getting it’, but about 20 years ago. Check out the title track on the ‘Terrapin Station’ album sometime. Probably my favorite studio album.So.. I have never actively listened The Grateful Dead. I heard what the radio sent me. How's the Edge 1 5 string sound with the MM style humbuckers? Are these both newer made in China models or older Korean models? If they're the newer made in China models, how are they?Thought I would post this photo of my rig. I play a Dean Edge-1 5 string and a Dean Edge 8. I use D'Addario light gauge chromes on both.

It is made in China, has a natural satin finish, and has a single humbucker in the sweet spot. I had it setup with D'Addario flatwound chromes. It is light weight, about 7.3 lbs. How's the Edge 1 5 string sound with the MM style humbuckers? Are these both newer made in China models or older Korean models?
