Dean Club!!!

This is being delivered tomorrow. Been watching this on Amazon for a really long time. Dean Vendetta store Demo with barely a scratch. 2008 or 2009 model. Won't know for sure until I have it. These are the sellers pix.

So did you ever get the Vendetta? If so, what are your thoughts on it? As for the Rhapsody's I've always wanted a Transparent Amberburst Q4, but the 2 times I saw one come up, lets just say they were not in the greatest of condition. :rollno:

Yes I did. It is in great shape except for a chunk taken out of the headstock which I am not too happy about. I even asked for pix before I bought it. Turns out the pix were from 2014! I am keeping it though as the rest of it is truly in perfect shape. Maybe I can get a real luthier to re-do the top side of the headstock?

I have not had the chance to play it yet as I picked up a 2017 Gretsch Thunder Jet less than a year old for $999 that is pristine.

:eek:I would be :rage: big time.

thanx to B-Mac I'll be happy to show off my newish fretless Edge 4 which I snagged for a mere $200 and find little wrong with in the fit n finish Dept., plus the overall comfort, pleasant light weight, extreme playability, and d'lish deep rich sound make this a big winner, it has found a new home within immediate reach. it's one of those you keep grabbing knowing there will be more new discoveries as you meld into the wonder of it all lol. it's significantly different than my beloved Peavey T-20 FL but no single coil hum frustrations is a true delight. the only gripe could be that the backside is highly figured and tinted so beautifully that it should have been the top! oh well, you can't have everything, but this is certainly a nice bass.

Hey, I just noticed your description on this on another post states that it is 35" scale? That is a surprise as they only had the Edge 10 models as their 4 string 35" scale basses with the exception of 5 string models.
Can you tell us some more about this?

And speaking of 35" scale 4 strings.....I just pulled the trigger on this as it was such a deal.....

...Just picked this 35" scale up today. Should have it next week. They make these in soap bar humbucker as pictured as well as P J style with split single coil P style at neck and single coil j style at bridge.
Used $99 plus $45 shipping. This will be my first 35" scale 4 string. Most Edge 10 models were solid colors except I believe for the 2012 model per the catalog info I have.

[edit 08-22-2018] I have determined that this is actually the Edge 1Q with an Edge 10A 35" scale neck, which has the same offset dot inlays as the Edge 1Q. The Edge 1Q is Passive and was made in smaller numbers compared to the Dean Edge 1, which did not have the Quilt Maple Tiger Eye top available. This is my 'Franken Deanster'! Why should Fender owner's have the monopoly on the 'Franken' jargon? LOL! :roflmao:

wow, yes, you stole it, new? I've been fantasizing over just what you scored! I dig my fretless so much that I don't even know for sure what the scale is, or care anymore cos now it feels just right, so you probably have a better clue on the facts. but I'd figured the fretted is going to be great too, nice to see the quality woods/tops.
uhhh... are there any more of those floating around? lol

It’s actually not the one I really wanted. The one I really want is the P/J version but the price and the Tiger Eye or Quilt Maple top (not sure which it is yet) reeled me in. It’s also Passive instead of active. Most if not all Edge 10’s are active so this is also a bit of an odd ball.

I’d appreciate it if you’d check your scale because I never saw the Edge fretless in 35” scale anywhere nor in a catalog.

Here's me with my Exotica. Replaced the strings with tape wounds and tuners with gold Hipshot Ultralites. Love the tone and growl this acoustic beauty produces!View attachment 3126987
With Aphex? Did you have issues with your tuners? I bought mine brand new in 2013 from brick & mortar GC and haven’t had any issues. There’s a few here that have this, so please share whatever prompted this.
