I have just one bass, a Dean Edge Pro 5.

Also looking to replace the pickups with either Bartolini or Nordstrand, I have EMG's stock and from the little that I know they aren't active, just preamp is active, correct me if I'm wrong.

Any suggestions?

Hi everyone! talkbass noob here looking for other dean owners and then...I found you guys! MY current bass is my first Dean and I effing love it. I gots me a Zone XM (with my buddy's employee discount) for a way too cheap to pass up price (I think it was like 79 bucks or something). I'm really glad I scooped this one up. Great neck, awesome tone, and sturdy as hell. So, for your consideration, Rictor 66 and Eddie Brock (yes, I name my guitars) in action:

um...that is all for now, I guess.

Sledgehammer 5
After buying and selling maybe 5 basses in the last year, this is definitely the one! It's a keeper.

currently working on turning it into the Sledgehammer from hell (HH pickups and series/parallel/split coil for each pickup)

Older edge (I think, the head stock is different than most of the edges ive seen) I love it, Meaty big ass bottom sound with great High End. Cant go wrong for the money, and love the cutaway, The best access to upper frets that Ive found.
