Dean Club!!!

Got my new Paramount yesterday from Musician's Friend and didn't notice any problems with the pickups.
Of course I am not playing on a loud stage. Just playing at home through my Fender Rumble 100 at 'normal' volume.
What should I specifically be listening for? They're dead quiet and when I tap on the pickup cover I don't hear anything coming through the amp like a pup that has gone microphonic.

Fit and finish is really good and not a sharp fret end. Action appears to have been set by Musician's Friend because it is low and no buzzing, just the slightest neck relief.

I've purchased things through MF before but never a bass....just pedals for my guitar playing oldest nephew.
$259 free shipping and no tax!

2016 serial number so I am guessing they are unloading existing NOS inventory. Came with usual Dean sticker and warranty card.
Just a follow up since I didn’t post pix

1.65” width at nut and 0.75” thick neck at 1st fret. Thin Satin finish on back of neck. This is a nice fast neck without the sandpaper or steel wool routine.

Anything on the Edge Select 5-String Burled Poplar Bass? Just wondering if the burled top is essentially a "cloned" or painted veneer. Reason I ask is those that sell them don't allow a purchase selection - so you can't see if they indeed have a unique appearance between basses. I'd like me some diseased wood and I may want it to come from Dean!

Don’t know about the latest offerings as I haven’t seen any in any stores, the different quilt, burl and tiger eye tops and or veneers that I have on my older Dean basses are the real deal. Just lay it down flat on a table and walk around the table while looking at the top. It changes as the light hits it and the viewing angle changes as you walk around. That does not happen with a photo finish (printed picture) top.
But like I said, I don’t know about the new offerings as I have not had the opportunity to see any side by side in a music store

Looks like another Dean Bass is on the way out?
The Dean Edge 4 Flame.
These are nice and although the Dean Edge 4 has been around for a while, this is the one introduced/revamped around 2015. Instead of 2 band EQ it has 3 band EQ, plus a mid switch, Vol and Blend.
It also has a mahogany body and Flame Maple top rather than a Basswood body and depending on the model a maple top or no top.
Maple Neck and Rosewood Fingerboard. Only one color...Flame Maple Trans Black Satin.

All for $359. MSRP is $799 and usual street price is $449
I have a Dean Edge Q4B which is a very nice bass with Barts and a quilt maple top, but it is 2 band EQ and basswood. I also have A Dean Edge Pro which is also very nice with neck through, brass nut, badassII bridge, 3 band EQ, Tiger Eye top and Basswood body.
For this price brand new I'm having some G.A.S. pains starting.

These are on sale at Guitar Center and their affiliates.

These also come in a 5 string, 6 string and a 4 string fretless, but I don't think those are on sale?

I've got an Edge 2 five-string (not sure what year...I bought it used). I want to rewire it for stereo output (each pickup to its own channel). My plan is to keep it very simple with each pickup having its own volume and then going straight to the TRS jack. I'm guessing I can't reuse the "B50k" tone pots as volume pots. Does anyone know what pots would be appropriate for each pickup's volume on this? I'm guessing it's 250k or 500k but I don't know which. (Also I'd like to avoid replacing the pickups if possible.)

I would go with 250k. 500k will be too trebly in my opinion.
