Dean Markley SR2000 w/ cream felt

I have a bass with SR2000 medium lights (46-102) and so far I'm enjoying the strings. Bright like most steels but more mid-focused. The bass has a 70s J position so maybe some of the growl comes from the pickup position and not just the strings. I read something about Dean Markley's newer SR2000s not being the same as the old ones. Are the ones w/ cream felt the new or old version? Mine have cream felt.

I used SR2000's way back in the late 90's/early 2000's. I remember those ones using a light gold-ish silk wrap.
