Deglossing a Squier VM Fretless Jazz

I forgot to post back after I finished this guy up and put it back together. I think I just ended up wet sanding the whole thing to 1500. I used a lot of pressure and went at it for a while. On the back I could tell I was starting to get to the paint because I was knocking back some of the darker part of the finish on the contour below the upper horn.
Anyways, I think it came out pretty good. I'm happy with it.

I agree it came out nice. I'm betting it will wear and relic nicely, too.

Thank you! I'm hoping so! Now I just need to find a reason to play it enough for that to happen. I have too many fretted basses that all vying for my attention.

Just make it your go to for playing while distracted like watching TV or something. Knock it around carelessly whenever you're handling it. Have fun beating and playing the snot out of it.
