I just finished the installation of a set of Delano pickups in my Lakland 55/94D. I ordered these from Brian at Best Bass Gear. HE'S the best in my opinion. The results are amazing! My Lakland is an early one with the 4 string sized pickups for 5 strings. The Delanos I installed are made to fit the 4 string sized rout; JC5 HE/D neck and MC5 HE/s bridge. The Delanos opened my tone dramatically and are full and articulate. I also installed a Glockenklang 3 band pre and the combination is like nothing I have played before. Just a tweak of the EQ and this thing will go from brilliant highs to seismic deep lows without the slightest hint of muddiness. These guys have it right. If you want to update any older J/MM configuration this is the ticket!! Be advised though that the pickups come from Germany and a large dose of patience is required due to the long delivery times. It is worth it!
