My ESP-franken-Squier-fretless is displayed boldly on its stand, but yep, I very rarely use it. Fortunately I have the sense of not taking it to band practice... And, I have tapewounds on it. I think I am on the safe side, as of yet...

Oh man, I don't know whether to laugh or cry
Not only does he absolutely nail all the typical symptoms but then he pops up at the end with a MIJ Jazz Fretless - the exact make and model that has been my #1 instrument for the last 20 years

Nope. Not quite an exact match.
Mine's all-Black with the back of the neck finished natural. The one in the vid is not only a different body color but also has the BlackBack neck variation. No doubt it's a Jazz Special, though - the Power Jazz Special had a different arrangement for the controls
I was fortunate that the denial stage didn't last. I bought an acoustic fretless as both my first acoustic and first fretless. Mistake on both counts, and it didn't take long to figure that out. Sold the instrument to someone who was actually able to play it. Whew.

I did play that exact bass - Fender Jazz Lite - same color w/black headstock - hey that's my bass!!
cheap MIJ probably $300 in 198? but it played nice - VERY light weight - hence the name I guess w/ PJ pups - passive
it was great- played well and you could abuse it without care
