Delirium Fretlesscylius

I posted here 2 years ago, right around the time I had just gotten my Fretless bass...

I think I have something way worse than this now - because I pretty much ONLY play my fretless bass anymore :)

Yes, I've considered selling my fretted bass, but I keep it around just in case...and not play it :D

I remember when this was first posted. It's hysterical. Thanks for bumping it as it's very timely right now. I've had a very cheap fretless for close to 2 years that sat in its bag for most of that time. I think I've had a relapse in the condition, though. Lately, I find myself playing it more & more to the point where I'm thinking of upgrading to something better. There's a used Warwick Corvette fretless near me that I really like, and if it had lines I would've bought it already. Might still pick it up anyway & just get used to no lines! Hook, line, & sinker. I'm all in!

BTW, I love Troy's videos. He has some serious chops & he might be my favorite "covers" bassist on YT.

Hi,

If you're thinking about purchasing a fretless bass, you may want to make this required viewing:

Thank you for your indulgence,

So I just liked some 2 year old posts...

Oh well, it was all in fun.

The video did have a humourous bent to it.

The symptom that got me was-"The uncontrollable urge to slide up (or down) to every note"
In my case mostly up, rarely down--and since I was doing it on a fretted bass--why not get a fretless?
