Very nice looking setup! How do you like it so far with the HD210?

It's early days, so I've not really had the chance to give it a good run yet, but so far I am loving it.

I love the Demeter tone - the way there's a real weight and girth to every note, but with superb separation and no boom. I think the HD210 has a similar character, so they are a good match.

What's the back look like? Did you get the Jensen upgrade?

I didn't get the DI as I have no real need for it, but the back panel on mine, left to right, is:

  • mains socket
  • 1A fuse holder
  • 2 x Speakon jack outputs
  • 1/4" jack preamp out
  • 1/4" effects return
  • 1/4" effects send

What are the advantages of the Jensen DI?

For this head it's a choice of either the Jensen DI or no DI at all (just the 1/4" pre out in that case). I know on some of his other equipment it's different where you can upgrade the standard DI to the Jensen. I can't speak for the difference between those as I've never A/B'ed them, but I think Tom Bowlus may have a better understanding of any change in sound quality.
