DemonFX Pedals - Any good?

Darkglass pedals on my shopping list from this "devil" of a research project

1. Harmonic Booster
2. Microtubes X
3. Alpha Omicron
4. Microtubes B7K

Honorable mention to the Tone Hammer

Interpret as you will

I like the basic pedals without graphic EQ

Even the Joyo Monomyth (Alpha Omega Ultra) is off my chain and in my "gift to a needy bassist" pile as the Alpha Omicron has better tone and control for my use.

DemonFX Super Symmentry is fantastic - too bad it is out of production from DG.

Best bass pedal comp i've ever owned.

I invite You all HERE:

Knock offs or currently available, often original products... pretty pathetic.
Not having a go but I believe it's the price of the original products that is pretty pathetic.
If they hadn't of leaned on their name so hard, to justify high cost, this shift in consumer sentiment would never have happened.
Greed has a limit...and then the exodus happens.
If the cost of a product goes too far, people will pay less and accept the drop in quality that comes with cheaper alternatives.
Thing is, some of these Chinese pedal manufacturers, like demonfx, are producing products that are pretty damn close to the originals.
That's all consumers wanted, decent quality for a fair price...the Chinese understand this.
It can be perceived in many different ways, pirates, counterfeit, knock off, etc etc but do you really think people care about that when they can purchase something that they can enjoy without having their pockets emptied (because that alone is what a lot of name brands have lost touch with)...they are absolutely responsible for what they have created.
Sorry but that's what happens eventually...and it is now happening BIG time.

By the way, I got the "CALL76" bass comp several months ago and even though it's not quite as good as the Origin Cali76, it's surprisingly close...I was shocked to be honest.
How the hell do Demonfx produce a pedal of this quality for approx' 1/5 of the price??
I am not loyal to any brand, I just appreciate decent quality at a very reasonable price and what I got from Demonfx fits that bill perfectly.
It's hard not to support a counterfeit product when its meeting all your expectations as a consumer, especially in this "the company is always right" environment.
End result, the name brands will get back to "the customer is always right"....and I suggest they will be reluctant to do so but they will have no choice.
Hopefully, it turns out to be a positive outcome for the consumer.
Viva Le customer LOL.

I just ordered the mini chorus, Call 76, and Harmonic Booster through Ali Express.
They quoted me 20 days for delivery.
Have you guys had similar shipping times?
With Ali, yes. 20 days sounds about right. Damn company, tried to order a mini phaser, twice! All I got were the patch cables they try and throw in with it. Happy future NPD!

Sorry to pile on. My Microtubes X says made in Canada, also where mine was shipped from. What’s the deal? Circuit boards made in China and assembled in Canada? Point of manufacture is irrelevant to me (already had that conflict with myself, glad to be in front of it (unlike some people 😂). Wish I’d run across this thread sooner. Sound badass with a $400-ish rig. I’m tickled.

My thoughts:
Call76. Brilliant. I don't have the real deal to compare to, but it works very well. I use it to boost quite a bit to make the strings sound more balanced as I noodle quite a lot with the thinner strings. I find that mixing in 20-30% of the dry signal combined with fast attack (around 10:30) for huge sustain and hpf @ 14-15 o clock and ratio around 5 (9 o clock) works wonders and preserves transients while adding sustain and balancing the strings. I am running 9V, but going to test 18V soon as there's some (very) minor noise with extra makeup gain.
Strobotuner. Works very well. I just hate looking at it haha, should have checked how it works before buying. At least it is very accurate (verified against Ableton tuner).

Wish they had more offerings. Darkglass clones are not quite my cup of tea, but I plan to grab that mini chorus at some point. More interested in Flamma env filter and their flanger before though. Oh yeah, Tone Mallet is interesting. Might grab one if I grow bored of my SansAmp clone.

To me, they kinda feel like more premium brand from China. You often find other companies are just selling the same products. For example I can find my SansAmp clone from Caline and also with a different name from Ajihii (or something) and many more such cases, even with different casing but most likely the same innards (Mooer E-lady, Flamma flanger for example). With DemonFX, you don't find duplicates except that Fanmuzk they are advertising on their website.

I have the Call76, but prefer the DemonFX Super Symmetry.

Tone Mallet is great, but check out the DemonFX AG.
