DemonFX Pedals - Any good?

I've been using mine quite a bit lately! It sounds fantastic! I pretty much have it "set and forget" knobs wise. Paired with a fuzz, octaver, delay or any combo of these - I can get some major synth vibes.
Yeah I have the mxr bass synth coming but I still love using chorus on its own or with my doom2. It’s a different type of sound then what I have heard from the mxr so I think it will be nice variety.

Even just dropping chorus on a clean bass sound really fattens it up in such a nice way. My settings on the demon are pretty much locked in as well. Rate at 11 and depth maxed. Mix around 50% and I like fat or normal mode.

I have the D7K Ultra and used it for a while. I really liked it but I got a Vintage Microtubes really cheap and I use that most of the time now. I really wanted to love that Darkglass sound but I always find myself trying to tame the DG pedals I've owned and back way off the gain. The Vintage Microtubes is a happy medium to my ears. It can do heavy but can also get that beefy mild OD tone. If I want nasty dirty I boost a muff or a Wooley and that works for me. I know i suck at describing tone. Lol

Be sure to compare Jellyfish to Demonfx and give your thoughts here! I use my Jellyfish in “normal” mode but I like my chorus on the tighter side. “Fat” mode sounds great too! Middle switch position is the thinnest sounding and gets close to a flanger. Pretty much like Analogman/Demonfx I guess.

Yeah I think I got the last one because they are now sold out on his site. It shows that it does the small clone mode, a leslie and then a blur.

But I definitely will compare it to the DemonFX version. The Jellyfish appears more versatile since it has a tone control and the modes appear to be different, but we shall see.

Finally something to knock the DemonFX minichorus pedal off my board - the Jellyfish by drunken beaver. Better build quality, more modes, top loading jacks all reasons for the change. That said, the DemonFX chorus is so, so good. It got me back into Chorus again, and it's now an effect I use a lot more often due to this.

Damn I just have received DemonFX Harmonic Booster and for the 45EUR it blew me away.

Cons - cheap knobs (pedal seems to be not that bad) and it is bit noisy/hissy...

Pros - OG DG Harmonic Booster is also bit noisy and needs IMHO Noise Gate - they are almost 1:1 - with some EQ and Noise Gate I won't tell which is which.

Combined with cheap JOYO Alpha Omega rip-off - Monomyth - we get DarkGlass sound for 100EUR.

I can't believe how good and cheap the gear is nowadays.
Some time ago I needed cheap and good sounding and loud combo for (sic!) electric guitar - I found Harley Benton Tube 15 - 15W all-tube combo with 12" Celestion speaker, added Behringer KLON and REVV JOYO rip-off - R17 Dark Flame and cheapest JOYO Noise Gate.
Altogether it was not even 300EUR. It sounds amazing. I would say it blows BOSS Katana in terms of volume, sound, dynamics and combo weights 11kg.

Recently, I successfully ran a Call76 for one day at 18 volts. Now it doesn't run on any volts.

Edit: It's alive! I took it off the board tonight then plugged it into another 9V source and this time it worked. I put it back on the board at 9V and it works again.

Any thoughts on the B3K clone? Looking to get an alternate tone to my MBD and old Ibanez PD7, but wanting to keep it affordable as I doubt I'd use it often.

JOYO Double Thurster sounds in 75% like B3K - it is louder and more hissy and the distortion is not as classy and tight as OG B3K.

BUT: In Europe you can buy it for 45EUR, I saw once for 30EUR on Reverb. Crazy value.

So far I can recommend all the stuff I had from JOYO - Double Thiurster, Monomyth, compressor, R17 Dark Flame

Thanks! I've had a few Joyos, and they all are well worth the price. I'm also looking at the Guptech Bass Bone for a similar tone. It's supposed to be a slightly more versatile B3K, and it has top jacks, which I prefer. We'll see what happens.
