Incredibly technical, not incredibly musical.
I have no issue with slap monsters, I think it's quite the feat of technical mastery. I don't know how much it adds to music. If this guy could find a way to do that with a drummer and a melody, we'd be cooking.

I never really liked slapping, when that is said he actually have some interesting and quite nice sounding riffs, and no one can take away from him that he is damn fast at executing them.
I actually like the sound too, not the low fidelity noisy recording part of it, but the trebely metallic sound of his bass.

Painful. Treble is piercing and painful
I think it's beautiful.
I'd really love to hear a far better recording because I'm sure that the horrible acoustics of the room and the butchery of YouTube's compression are decimating large swaths of the composition. One thing I'll say without a doubt, it's fantastic use of the bass as a solo instrument and, as a composer, I really like where he's at.
