Gelb Music in Redwood City, near San Francisco. Lots of high end basses and amps. A great place to spend and hour or three just looking around!

This is my crack house... Home - Dave's Guitar Shop The guy is as nice as they come, knows his stuff, and incredibly honest. Known him for 30 years and painted for him for a while. It's a state away and I still try and go (or stay away) almost monthly. When you have time to kill, click on the link to his personal collection...but have some time. Coolest guy around, and so is the staff.

I have bought 2 basses from club bass in Toronto. Dave is top notch.

Living in Europe it would be Thomann in Germany. It is the biggest music store in Europe. Thomann sells a lot by internet. So it seems their shop is located on the countrysite. I' m not sure if it is worth spending the time and money to travel. However their service and ammount of products they have in store is awesome. Great company.
