DFW get-together anyone??

Here's your list of options as to why I wasn't there:

1) Who said I wasn't there?

2) I was asleep on the floor at Razor's, at least that's where I think I slept, it's where the most empty bottles were found.

3) I made it all the way to south Dallas and had car trouble. Not wanting to be stranded in Lewisville, I turned back and had to miss. 2 hours of driving for nothing :scowl:

Come on, who missed the SUPER souped up Harris? You know you did.

And about my neat secret little weapon, you ask? I was going to unveil my custom made (by me ) eq/boost pedal. I built a 3 band eq with adjustable mids, true bypass on both circuits, and 20db of signal boost. Why is it so neat? If you run just a few pedals, you can beef up the signal to travel the extra distance. Or, if your like me, it's a distortion enhancing monster. I know alot of you use Sansamps, or Sadowsky's, or whatever, so I built my own. And I'm trying to fit a Jensen DI in there too.

Sorry all. I was terribly upset that I couldn't make it. I planned on drooling all over a Walkabout . I've already called a good friend that sells cars, it's time for a change. I'll host one before the year is out, that way ya'll have to come see me

It would be great if you have the room to host the videos. I have them on my church's site right now, and I hate to tie up the church's web site on non-church stuff. I will probably have to delete it in a couple weeks if nobody steps up to host the videos.

Looks like quite a party and quite a spread. I too want to thank the hosts and everyone who attended. That's the spirit ! It's plain cool to know stuff like this is going on and checking it out vicariously via these pics and anecdotes. Rock on ... y'all.

My PC can't play the video for some reason, but the kid in the cap is Daniel E. (all I know -- except that he is really good on bass).

The smaller cab was a 1210. He sold the 1212 to another player before the GTG (the guy that was originally auditioning my 410, he already has a 1210 and bought the 1212 to add to it for larger gigs). He told me that in his very large living room, he preferred the sound of the 1212 (deeper & rounder sounding).

He was supposed to do a gig last night where he was going to use the 1210 for one set and the 1212 for another. I haven't talked to him yet to find out his impressions from the gig.

I wanted to chime in too and say what I GREAT time I had with all of you!! Apologies for not getting to talk to each of you -- I was distracted trying to keep from fainting from the heat!!

Jorg, those cabs are crazy! I hope I can still make babies!! I gotta save my box tops!! Do you think an SWR SM-500 is enough power to drive the 1210? Or should I get a more powerful amp?

Pete Skjold, THANKS a bunch for being a good sport to have us all show up on your doorstep. It was a GASS!!!!!! I'm having dreams about that Pro five with the ash body, Bart J pickups and coco bolo fingerboard! I want that bass!!

I just got back home to OkieHoma, and wanted to say that I truly enjoyed meeting all ya'll, and special thanks to Pete, (and "Cooky" for the great grub!!) Thanks to Jorg and his wife for making the trek to deliver my new cab to me .

And really... it wasn't that hot. Come on. Ya'll live closer to the equator, and most of you were younger than me. (o.k. it was HOT)
