By the way, from an earlier question, Gavin's bass was the DeArmond.

I like this picture, I was testing the range of a wireless setup. I've never walked and played before (not with a bass, with a sousaphone more times than I care to remember)

And what's up with that shot of me all hunched over playing that bass?

I look like I'm getting a hernia or something! The deal is all the straps there were too long! That was the only way I could play that thing RIGHT! It's all you guys with your mile-long straps!! Look at Stanley Clarke or John Patittucci. All the fastest cats play their basses UP HIGH!



Did anyone get a shot of that Skjold 5-string with the ash body and the cocobolo fingerboard? I haven't stopped thinking about that bass since Saturday. I even drove back to Pete's shop to pick it up again.

I had to laugh when I saw that photo of you all hunched over. You look like you're really rockin' out....but I knew what was going on, heh heh.

And, if you had played my Bongo or Fish, you would have discovered the one true cool thing about me - I wear my basses high.

I laughed when I saw that too because I was trying to find you a strap to use.

FWIW, I wear my Roscoe pretty high---you have to adjust to the fact that I'm a foot and a half taller than you :D:D:D

That's no joke Jeff. My Roscoe has NEVER sounded like that before--at least not since he picked it up the last time still in the music store!!!!

I'd give my right foot to be able to play like that.

I wear my bass with the center of the body about belt high. Although I enjoyed Jack's Bongo, I did think I was going to choke when I put it on! :D It was cinched up under my chin. One thing you youngsters have to remember - When some of us get older and our stomaches get bigger, the bass gets real hard to play when it's low and the top sticks out further than the bottom! :hmm:
