DFW get-together anyone??

Ah shucks... thanks Freak.

Embellisher... well said. I enjoyed it enough that I'd come down again. It's always great to see the different facets of life/playing/music/skill etc.. all come together with a common interest. And honestly.. I left the GTG inspired, and with a renewed sense of passion for playing. I've already spent more time practicing since Sunday than I did the previous two months combined. It showed me I had gotten lazy and comfortable just doing what I do, and that I had lost sight of what could be. Some of ya'll are just plain awesome bass players.

So.. heck yeah... I'm looking forward to doing it again in the future. By spring, I'll probably be getting lazy again, and need another boost of inspiration.

I live about 20 minutes from Pete's shop in Carrollton. I couldnt really house as many people as what showed up Saturday, but there is a community pool right next to my place that has a club-house type thing as well. Also small and couldnt setup there, but we could deffinantly have some smaller group type jams at my place and do some swimming within 20 feet from my place.

I just want to say how great it was to meet everyone. I am new to the forum and really had a great time meeting and listening to all in attendance.

Hey Rick!
Glad you could swing up and say hello! And I'm sure Pete will ALWAYS be glad to see a new dealer added to the herd.

Hope you sell that Skjold quickly. It's a lovely instrument. Speaking of Pete's basses, Did everyone see the singlecut body with the cocobolo-top that Pete had in his shop? It's only the body - it's still looking for a home. That's a sweeeeeeeet looker!

I left with a renewed sense of G.A.S.!

Pete, I want a 5-string like that ash Pro series with the J pickups!!
Is that the cherry burst looking finish one he had. (I think so, I think that's the only one I saw with the Bart J's in it.) That bass sounded amazing... I liked it better than the others, although they all sounded good!! That one just sounded perfect to me. And was the reason for me wanting a new bass... soon!!
