DFW get-together anyone??

This is directed at bovinehost, but anybody can answer. Are there any Thomastik-Infeld dealers in the DFW area. I know I can order them online, but I am in more of an instant gratification type of mindset right now. I need some TI Flats, and I need them yesterday.

OK, I'm back in San Francisco, and am finally getting a chance to check in on this thread.

I had a blast meeting a bunch of you guys. Sorry I didn't get to chat with everybody, but I think most of us were too busy fooling with basses to bother with talking.

And I apologize for my bass having a whammy bar hanging out all over the place. It was in bad taste and I am sorry if I offended anyone.

That would be sweet, Im itching to try a fretless one, but alas, no local deallers hehe (Im hoping to change that with a talk to Larry Morgan Music). May I ask, is your fretless lined? Only pics I could find were lined ones and wanna make sure Im not off my rocker for not wanting them hehe.

Yes the fretless was lined, I can't imagine an unlined dingwall!

It's true I like the fretless sound better, but mostly because of the pickups that were in them. If it Fretted had the same pickups in it, I'm sure I would have liked it at least as much.

If anyone remembers playing my SX Fretless 5, and remembers how crappy the B string sounded, I threw some new Elixers on it last night, and the B now sounds wonderful. So, if that was keeping you from buying one, don't let it.

Was nice meeting you. By the way, I bought the Walkabout and played it through two 4 ohm Schroeders, KILLER. It really can handle an (unofficial) 2 ohm load.

Will be recording again tomorrow and should have a newer bass track by Monday, but its sounding better now than before I think. Left both versions up so you could compare if you wanted.
