Oh sure Ty, wait till everyone leaves to play hehehe. I kept seeing people try and hand you basses and you shake your head trying to be modest hehe. I never did get to hear ya though cause I guess I took off before then :)

It was actually a joke :D I did play, but trust me, it was NOTHING to be impressed about. Not many people heard me either, especially on the F.

I did end up playing Jorg's Bennie through his 1210, and  oh my....t'was RIDICULOUS.

I don't know if it's been said anywhere or not, But I have to give props to the guys at Schroeder Cabs. It takes a lot of moxie to pack up a truck with your gear, and travel halfway across the country to a gathering to show it off, knowing that the buzz it generates would really help get the word out about the greatness.

Those cabs were as good or better as the buzz generated right here on TB would have led us to believe. Someday if Schroeder is a household word, it's the dedication to and the confidence in the product that was shown on Saturday that will have made it that way.
They have earned the right to be considered by anybody looking for a cab.

I agree completely. I was extremely impressed with Jorg's dedication, especially for something that, as he told me, he "does for fun."

Those cabs were absolutely incredible, and I would have one if

1.) I could afford it

and

2.) They came in 8 ohms

He didn't. :bassist: :p :D

I just got back home to OkieHoma, and wanted to say that I truly enjoyed meeting all ya'll, and special thanks to Pete, (and "Cooky" for the great grub!!) Thanks to Jorg and his wife for making the trek to deliver my new cab to me :ninja: .

And really... it wasn't that hot. Come on. Ya'll live closer to the equator, and most of you were younger than me. (o.k. it was HOT)

B4H, which cab did you get?

Hello everyone ,

I wanted to say thankyou to everyone who made the effort to come to our shop. It was truly Skjold Design's pleasure hosting the event.

It was great to see so many musicians in a small (hot!) shop having a great time, and being so considerate to fellow bass players.

I was able to see some basses I had been wanting to see for some time. The schroeder cabinets blew my mind and everyone got home safe!

Lets do this again in March !!! (it will be cooler!)

Again Thanks on behalf of myself and Ron Slack,

We had as much fun as the rest of you!

God Bless,
Pete Skjold

BTW, did anyone get a pic of Pete's beautifull lacewood topped bass, with the purpleheart fingerboard? I thought I got a good pic of it, but I musta been on crack or something. Only pic I have is that one of Pete playing it, but it doesnt show off the splendor of that bass well. If anyone got a good pic of it, please post it for my bass porn collection lol :)

Ok, gonna post some of my favorites of the day: (disclaimer - I didnt get to see or hear everything so I hope no one feels left out of this list here, everything there was awesome!)

1. Should be obvious from my pics that I really liked that F-Bass, didnt get to hear it much, but man it looked great.

2. LOVED Jorg's basses, especially the Benevente 6 Im holding in the above pic, man that thing was beautifull.

3. Pete's Lacewood topped, purpleheart fingerboard bass was stunning. Sounded amazing as well, wish I had got some better pics of it.

4. Really liked Ty's Roscoe a lot as well, again, didnt get to hear it much, but it looked awesome.

5. Dont know who's they were but the Shadowskies were really nice and sounded great as well.

6. Not a big fan of the Singlecuts usually, but the Nordstrand SC was beautifull as well. I took 3 pics of it to be sure I got a good pic out of the bunch.

7. The finish on the orange/copperish Benevente was incredible too. I normally prefer wood grain, but for a solid finish, that cant be beat.

8. That fretless Zon I didnt get a good pic of, its behind my dingwall in one of the pics there, but I didnt wanna ask people to move at the time cause they were playing hehe. That thing was very nice as well.

9. For not a very expensive bass, I believe the orangish/reddish RockBass belonged to Gavin. I really liked the finish on it as well. Never did get to hear anyone play it though.

10. Shameless plug here, but my other favorite thing there was continuing to hear my bass playing in the background by someone through most the day. It was a real thrill. I was intimidated to plug in as I am not very experienced (less than a year under my belt), but I thank everyone for making my bass sing in ways I couldn't have on my own :)

I don't have a picture of it, but I know it's for sale at Link Removed. I'm sure pics will be up there soon.
