DFW get-together anyone??

Just received word of another that will be there....

Peter Champagne.

Haven't seen many posts from him lately, but i'm trying to scrape together the funds to buy a Bag End 210 off of him, so I told him to drop by. He said he'd be there.

We're at about 17 committed, with still 2 or 3 maybes up in the air.

Ok, I just bought my plane ticket. Looks like I can't bring any amps, but I will bring my fretless Steinberger Transtrem; out of tune madness will surely ensue.
that's awesome. look forward to meeting you!
see ya all in Dallas---my moving truck comes tomorrow and sadly :bawl: the computer is about to get unhooked--so no TB for a few days.

Well crap. I got my schedule.

The g2g is between a 12-hour night shift and an on call 12-hour night shift. I will be getting off work around 7 AM Saturday morning, but i have to be available at 6 PM Saturday night. I think this makes me a "Can't show" guys.

To make it extra irritating, I think this is the same thing they did with my schedule for last years g2g.

Crap. :scowl: :rollno:

No way that you can trade with someone for a few hours to get out of the "on-call" part?

Go home, get a little sleep, come hang with us for awhile, then go back and be on call?? :( :(

That really sucks. Maybe it'll all work out afterall. We wouldn't mind if you showed up anyways :D

OK, I'm in. Really.

I'll bring one or two Steinberger XMs, and a custom Walkabout Scout if I end up driving. Maybe I'll bring the fabled BassTriaxis and Strategy 400.

Man, I'm a loser. 1700 miles is a long way for a TB GTG.

Benjamin,

You get the ANYTHING FOR BASS GUITAR award!! My hats off to you, man! I hope we meet or exceed your expectations!!

BTW, there's a very nice La Quinta on I-35 just south of Business 121. That would put you about a mile and a half (at the most) from our get-together. From the airport, take the north exit and to go north on 121 into Lewisville. 121 splits with Business 121 -- you want Business 121. When you get to I-35 go south and stay on the frontage road. You'll see the hotel on your right. Hope that helps.

Somebody get this man some bar-b-que!!

Ben,

I'd offer to put you up at my pad but I live in Waco and I just don't think I'd be able to get back up to Dallas to take you to the airport. Anyone else?! Come on! This guy's flying all the way from Flakesville, USA...let's not make him pay for a hotel!

I know his last name's strange but it's just a name. If someone's wife objects you could smuggle him into the house in a gig bag.
