I own class AB LMII, a class D LM Ninja, and a class D Reidmar 750.
Tone controls and preamp are the same on the LM II and Ninja (one minor difference), but they sound nfairly different. LMII is warmer, deeper, better articulate and more pleasing than Ninja, at mow SPL. It also has lower noise floor.
At higher SPL, the Ninja excells with louder and more articulate output, very notable.
Reidmar 750 has less low extended end, less articulation in the lows, but lower distorsion in the mids and highs. EQ is more effective in the mids and higher. It also has higher noise floor, especially if you are careless about gain staging.
DI is fine on all of them, in my limited experience. They are all competent and super reliable amps, when on stage, and capable of dramatic adjustments. Either one will "deliver the goods", but for louder music and power hungry cab, I slightly prefer the Ninja.
Also, in my experience, the amps have no hidden problems. Trying them at shop level translates well to what I get on stage.
