Difference between these 2 basses

Besides fit and finish and superior electronics (USA), the mexican has a jazz neck. I know some people here like the MIM version but I found the pups to be very weak and thin sounding. I dont particularly care for actives though. If youre looking for something like that I would look at the classifieds here. Somebody has a Fender Hot-Rod P for sale for little more than the MIM would cost and it is a far superior instrument.
 
I suggest that the OP play both and decide if the MIA deluxe is worth the extra coin. I know that I played one, at some length, and it was the nicest factory fender I've ever played with, bar none. Just hangin' on the wall at Guitar Trader. If I needed a 4 string, I'd certainly consider it...

I know right. I know the USA one would be worth it. Did you try the MIM one?
