Digitechrep: Bass Whammy shipping yet?

What I think is funny is Digitech is releasing a long discontinued pedal and people are getting mad because they have to wait now. Give me a break. You ought to be grateful they even give a crap enough to do this in the first place.

Go pay 600 bucks if you're too impatient to wait.

I should be grateful? Why? Because they made this pedal just for me?! Haha Alright.

I've already paid the 200 bucks which is why I'm impatient. $200 just floating around with no tracking information. Real cool.

Perhaps enough of us on here have had custom basses, amps, and pedals built that we understand these things always take longer than expected. Its all about perspective. I'm currently waiting on a custom amp and two custom pedals that are overdue on the projected release date. This is not uncommon. Hang tight.

I'm looking forward to getting more aquatinted with the Detune modes, I didn't spend much time with them on my OG BW but I can see myself using it often now.

I wonder if the difference between Chords and Classic modes will be noticeable with Detune?

You need to choose a side in regards to orders.

1: Pay in advance, knowing you'll be the first kid on your block and in your respective corner of the internet to own one; but your money is gone long before you receive your purchase. Delays are a reality in every business. Of course you avoid them, but there's delays in your food at a restaurant; in hanging drywall in a new building; in filing your taxes by apr 14. Delays are life.

2: Wait to purchase until the product is in stock. Then every variable is dependent upon the dealer you buy from and the shipping service they use. You know they have an item, and they give it to you. Maximum wait should be less than 1 business week.

I've chosen the elusive, patient, difficult, and never guaranteed route of USED GEAR.

3: The transaction is limited to the trust of the buyer and seller and the agreed upon shipping method. Paypal fees suck, but getting screwed out of a $100+ pedal sucks way more. You get something the market has at least tasted, and you have an idea of what you're in for. You get can generally save 30%, unless TGP hype runs it up. And most importantly...

You're less inclined to complain on the internet.

If anyone wants to amend my statements, add or subtract or completely rewrite; I'm down. Make it a sticky. Because these are the basic scenarios I see over and over.

Sorry n00bz.

So, they just told me that "it sort of looks like there is tracking in there so we should be good this time". Trying not to get my hopes up. BUT I AM!!! :) AAAHHHH! Christmas time!

Greg I think you're the only one that has demonstrated as much *positive* excitement and impatience that has mirrored my feelings inside lol. Please tomorrow

I'm trying. All I know is that the Digitech rep has been very gracious and I appreciate it as Im sure we all do. And Ive wanted a bass whammy for years and its finally here. So hellz yeah Im excited. But I know when you preorder somthing, its release/ship date isnt always guaranteed.

Hopefully they ship out tomorrow!!! :) I have a question for digitech rep...I see this runs off a 9v adapter this time. Will I be able to power it with my voodoo labs pedal power 2? Just curious if it can be powered by any 9v source or if there is anything specific to that adapter. Thanks!

This has been covered multiple times in this thread, even in the last couple of pages. You might have trouble with the PP2 though since the BW draws as much or more than the high current outputs. It's worth a try though.
