Digitechrep: Bass Whammy shipping yet?

I bet it won't be much before the first third of april. I'd be very surprised if it was before that.
We're still being told that they have shipped. However, they still have not shown up in our distributor's warehouse yet.

Maybe down the line. My old BWhammy is perfect. I hope you all enjoy the new one greatly, but I'm just gonna pick one up in a few months depending on how good it really is. I'm done GASing over this thing, i have bills to pay haha
Except for the crappy bypass, odd power supply, and much shorter option list compared to the new one
I'm just having a hard time understanding the concern about whether or not the new one will sound "as good/the same" as the old one; it seems like everyone who got a V (guitarists, that is) is pretty happy with both the Classic mode and the tracking/tone of the Chords mode I see no reason why there are any concerns that the BW will be some huge dissapontment and sound terrible.
I'm still thinking about waiting for Toolmybass to get his hands on it and vote yay or nay before pulling the trigger myself
I never said it would be a huge disappointment or sound terrible, and I never said the old bwhammy was the best thing ever. I meant perfect for what I use it for.
I have a hard time understanding shelling out 200 bucks when I already have one I use just because there were a couple youtube vids of a new/improved version.
How do you justify buying this pedal? Do you really NEED one? ......see my point?

All I'm saying is that after all the years of clammering for a reissue/rerelease and finally getting one, it seems a bit lame to hold off on buying one until someone else tells you what to think about it/whether or not you should get one, especially when most of its popularity comes from Tool fans.
It will come in quite handy for the trio I'm in, but otherwise my only justification is merely to have a Bass Whammy to play around with again. I have an H9 that covers all my solo project needs, but I expect that the BW will still get regular use.

Which is the reason I don't need a new one. The only reason I bought 2 bwhammies back in '96 was because of Ænima. The only time I really use the one I have now is when I play Tool, or when I'm drunk....or both..but I digress...
I'm not a kid anymore man, the new pedal excitement dies off in a hurry. As much as I wanted one 2 months ago, I've spent my whole life buying pedals I didn't need haha
I don't care what anyone says, I'm buying one because I've never had one, I don't want to shell out anywhere form $300-$700 for an old used one, I am a HUGE tool fan and I'm part of a three piece band that experiments a lot with sounds, effects and avenues of ways to get from point A to point Z. So never having one, for it to be re-released in a supposedly new and improved version makes my eye pop and my GAS flare. I've always wanted one and I've never have the capital to grab an old one that is outrageously overpriced on the used market just because it's not made anymore and guys like justin chancellor use one with success.
