Digitechrep: Bass Whammy shipping yet?

Their policy is not to - when I preordered the Korg Pitchblack Poly and had to wait several months for it to finally ship, they had to call me to resubmit my order because the transaction had expired since it had been several months between the initial authorization and the actual transfer.

They give candy, I trust them.

I used paypal and just checked out of curiosity. It says my transaction has expired and the $199 was never taken out of my bank account, so my previous statement is accurate. I'll probably wait until April to call and see if I can renew the transaction so there's a smooth shipping process once they come in.

I initially uses PayPal and they said the money would be debited from my account the day it shipped. I wanted the money taken out the day I preordered. So I had to cancel the PayPal and pay with my debit card. Paypal wouldn't let the money go until the day it shipped.

I had money put on a separate debit card specifically for the BW, and did my pre-order over the phone. Didn't use paypal

I didnt know that using PayPal would prevent them from taking payment right away. Once I knew that though, I canceled that course of payment and paid with my debit/bank card. Theres no way I would be able to hold onto $200 for this amount of time. No way. GAS is way too strong with this one.

I ordered mine over the phone from SW. they told me April. getting pretty excited. I remember the petitions and begging and pleading for this pedal to be made. I sure wasn't going to miss the opportunity to buy one. Already got the whammy iv on the bay.

If you guys haven't had a whammy in the past. They are a a lot of fun. I know a lot of people specifically get them for Tool covers but really theres so much more you can do with a whammy. I've used the one octave up harmony to simulate 8 string bass. I'll use the one octave up to simulate fretless sliding harmonics, the detune can be used as a chorus, the drop tune and whammy settings are nice if you occasionally want to hit a note outside the range of the bass, I've used the droptune and one octave down on the whammy iv for that for years. looking forward to having the 4th down as it keeps the notes on the same fret. If you think about it, a forth down from EADG is BEAD, so if your a 4 string guy you could use it live to pull off 5 string parts without having to bring a 5 string to the gig. I doubt I'd leave it on for entire songs though (well we see how good it sounds;)

The reasons named above are the reasons I want a whammy. Bad. I've always wanted one pretty bad but I've tried the regular guitar ones and always thought they sounded thin on bass. I probably just didn't play with one enough. I know when my new bass whammy comes though, I'm going to be writing some new songs with it fo sho!! Can't wait! I though feb was long month waiting for the whammy, march is taking even longer! If it's not out by april, well, then april will be the longest month hehe
