Dilemma.........thoughts

Well I'm not really married and financially, it'd make more sense to send it back, lose a couple bucks for shipping, but still have that money back, in comparison to keeping it and maybe...just maybe...a sweet bass on Classifieds or Craigslist will show up but I can't buy it because I have no money.

Decisions...decisions......
Not really married? There's some question?

Well Nate did say he didn't like both extremes so he wanted his signature bass' neck to be somewhere in the middle. It still feels like a Jazz neck to me.
I'm with you. Since I got my Roger WatersbP w/ 1.75" nut, everything else feels flimsy, even my 1.625" Neck on my fretless.
Incidentally, I'm building a Jazz right now and I chose a 1.6" nut width for the neck so it won't feel too flimsy.

Where did married come from?

When he said he "accidentally" purchased something, and then later implied he could not "justify" the price, I assumed that he might be referring to an excuse that he gave his wife. But, realizing that he might only be referring to his financial means, I used a slash to indicate that either could be the case.

uh...I'm not married, guys. LOL XD

"Accidentally" means that for some reason, I thought the prices lists on their website was converted to CAD (Reverb does that so I assumed Stratosphere did too...for some strange reason).

When I finished purchasing, it said it took $500 from my bank account after converting the USD into CAD.

Not to get nit picky here, but the difference is actually 0.01". Now, I don't know about the thickness of the neck, but I seriously doubt you can feel 1/100 of an inch in the width.

This part of the OP's gripe had me shaking my head one way while my eyes were rolling the other... must have some sensitive hands
