Dimarzio pickup club

I've been installing DiMarzios since the mid 70's, mainly in guitars, but my next project (J Bass) will have either a nUltra or a Model J at the neck.
I put what are supposed to be used Dimarzios (bought on Ebay - no brand marks that I could find) in this fretless P-special while I was refinishing it. Sounds really nice.
upgraded my first P with Model P's. later i got a Model PJ set. for another bass i got Split P's. these pickups change basses and combinations every year or so. the Model J is in series with an SX single coil now and is pretty beat to hell. i think my next move is to get brand new Model J's to put in the SX J.

I also own a Ric and I'm hoping to one day build a rock maple bodied P bass, with a model P/J set, for a hybrid Ric/Precision tone.
I'm not hoping to cut through a mix with it, though.

I have Model J's on the Wine, and Ultras's on the Transparent Blue Fenders. I also have Dimarzio's on my Telecaster.

A J, a PJ, and I just started taking apart a RockBass Corvette. She's getting the full treatment and going passive with a set of 123's.
Next J-bass I get I'm most defiantly going to drop in some Ultra Jazzes, if a pickup swap is needed
I have X2N-Bs in 5 of my 6 basses. I LOVE them!
