"High Moms" is both the name of my new solo project as well as the groupie demographic I'm trying to cultivate.

Well... ;) Super-P with a scale of 32-35" scale might have done the trick, but that's not a cheap proposition for a 'tester' either, so... ;)

Phil just bought a 74 SG though. It was 'free' when he purchased a 67' Tele. I expect to see them on stage this week or next...

I would expect that now that they've got 'standard series' Combustion/NG/D-Bird they'll probably leave it at that for a while? If they did ''standard' short scale I'd think they'd start with 'Standard P'.

I think this would be a good assumption, but I would bet it doesn't happen this year or probably not the next due to all the new models that haven't even made it here yet. They sure have a lot going on right now.

One thing I've watched along the way is that Sheldon's growth and expansion plans are done with the same exactitude as his design work. That means thoughtful, deliberate, careful and nothing is impulsive or spontaneous. I don't expect to see him make the mistake of overreach.

I have been wanting a personal Canadian D-bird since they were first announced and especially since I laid my hands on one. But, currently they are not within my budget. SO... I ordered one of these for ME!

I'm having trouble with it actually. When engaged, everything in the loop pops loudly when being turned on or off. Simple fix for that would be just active/deactivate the pedals in the loop before activating the divaricator right? Except that the pedals after the divaricator in the chain (phase 90, specifically) pop through the speaker too when being engaged, regardless of whether the IE is on or off. And when I remove the loop entirely, I get hum. So proper power and cabling will have to come next, the insert cable I got is like $12 and pretty flimsy, hoping it's just that. IE didn't come with a power supply though, wondering if it needs something different than what I'm giving it (powered as one link in a one-spot chain).

I powered mine with a One-Spot without issue before moving to a CS-12. I've never had that issue...Hit up Taylor at IE, he's been super fast and friendly to talk with. [email protected] sounds like a ground problem somewhere in your chain. The only place I ever ended up with 'pops' was when i was using cheaper chinese-micro pedals.

To me having to turn things on and off in the loop then click it would be not worth the effort.

I hope Sheldon comes up with a workable 5-string version of the D-Bird for you guys that want one, but I'm glad it's only a 4-string for right now. It basically forced me to chose a body style that I'm not normally attracted to. Sure, I could've ordered a 4-string ABZ or NG-3, but I only play a very limited amount of 4-string, and I think Sheldon's take on the T-Bird body is pretty righteous. In terms of aesthetics, I feel like the D-Bird shape would work well in a variety of genres...

He could very well keep it a 4-string and give us 5-string players an unattainable object.

Is the D-Bird the same electronics package as the NG3?
