It can take a while to get a Dingwall into one's hands, but they are always worth the wait. Enjoy, brother! I went with the same woods (ash/maple/maple) but had the body covered with sonic blue paint. It is truly a Super P.

It's cool that even the string retainer is a matching black (I'd be tempted to 'black-out' the screw head).

That has to be some kind of OCD related thing!! Actually, I like the accent it creates. It works for me given the PG screws and strings and bridge screws.

Yeah, I'm off my meds again... I can also 'see' it as an accent. That's one of the reasons, I haven't swapped the stock tuners on my NG for black ones.

I had the same revelation when I got my Super P5. It was love at first note. Everything just felt and sounded right. I've never had that feeling with any other brand. I've since sold the Super P5 to fund my ABHS 5 purchase, and I feel like my quest for the right bass is finally over.

The incredible thing is the bandmates which do not believe their ears, it seems the whole band sound raised to another level!

Is it too much to hope that the D Bird Standards will be part of this delivery? I seem to recall hearing they won't be out for a while yet.

I haven't been thrilled with the sound of my Super P4. I just ordered up a Nordstrand NP4A in Dingwall shells. Has anyone had experience with these?
