Anyway, I've always preferred wide spacing. I rarely use a pick, and when I do, it's not very technical stuff. It just feels more comfortable to play on 19 mm for me.

Depends on the type of metal!
If plan on playing a doomy upright on its side I’d say your in pretty good shape.
It seems like tech death players are also part time jockeys or formula 1 drivers.
All this talk of spacing makes me wonder. SJ-4, AB2, and Combustion. Wasn't there a chart on the old website where we could see the differences?

Dingwall confirmed on Facebook that the D-bird 5 string spacing will be 18 mm. Oh well, hopefully they can do the candy pink thing...

That is the one spec on my SJ5 that I don't like that much; 19mm string spacing at the bridge. I would much prefer 18mm.
Big part of why I went from Regular Scale back to Long Scale. That, and all the other amazing things about Long Scale Dingwalls!
While I do prefer the standard (medium scale), and the 19mm is fine for me, I would not mind if the width was closer to Roscoe width (18.3).
