"Again"? I didn't know they ever did one in the past. That'd be neat to play on.
Sheldon doesn’t build set or through necks because what if the neck goes bad? Bolt on is an easy replacement, NT is not.
Hmm. I might be misremembering things. I could swear I've seen an older Dingwall Prima with set neck/NT.
TLC week for the instruments. New nickel rounds for all, oil for the pau ferro, and caresses with microfiber cloth. 
I don't love inanimate objects, but these are the most perfect instruments that I've ever had the privilege to play and care for.

I know I'm beating my own dead horse here, but - I really wish my ABHS had 19 mm spacing. There's something with having three pickups and my spider fingers that just don't mix.
It's stupid, really. I wouldn't think something like that would bother me as much. It's just 1 mm. But it does. My Super P5 felt so much better to play, but again, the three pickups vs one probably has a lot to do with it.
I guess it doesn't help that my band is currently struggling to find time to rehearse and/or record. When you have too much time (no pun intended) on your hands, your mind starts doubting things...

The 4-string AB's are amazing!
This 4-string ABZ is the best playing & sounding 4-string I have ever had my hands on.
I have the more polite sister to yours. lol. Amazing bass for sure.

Nice looking bass you have! I love these finishes as well as the sound with the wenge neck/ash body combination.
I wish this bass was mine, but it belongs to the store.
Price has been agreed on. Thankfully, neither of us are in a rush and this kind of just "popped" up out of no where on a whim... he's giving me a hell of a deal, and as soon as I come up with the scratch, I'll meet him and bring it home.

Really? You're doing a 2x -> 3x conversion right? I thought all of that was handled by the terminal block on the 4-way rotary.

You should have just those two points though (or an extra ground if there's a couple. A quick touch with an soldering tip for each should be all you need then you shouldn't even have to snip and strip to get those wires on the new switch.
Easy 'nuff. All the pickup connections are, but there's still the main ground and hot wire out.
As a sidenote I received my ST300 (non-mini) tuner and I'm in love
LOVE the Sonic Research Turbo Tuners...they are DA' BOMB! I will use my ST-300 mini, no matter what other tuners I have available to me, until it breaks, then I'll buy an ST-400, LOL!
I will admit that the new Peterson StroboStomp HD looks pretty nifty though...
Michael, you just need to buy that bass! I'm sure you could work something out, since you know the owner and all...
Congrats to everyone that's picked up new, or new-to-them, Dingwalls recently! I've got a couple more months to go, so I'm enjoying your happiness and excitement!
As I'm getting ready for my regular Wednesday night gig, allow me to wax philosophical for a brief moment...
I'm truly grateful that all the bad decisions that I've made in my life, and there's been plenty, hasn't eroded my love for my chosen instrument and the music that inspires me to play. I'm grateful for the experiences I've had and the effects they've had on my growth as a player and a person. I'm grateful for the people who have had an incalculable impact on my growth as a player and human. From the guys I've shared a stage with for the last two decades to the folks I only know by a user name on the interwebz. Everyone has had an impact, and I'm grateful.
I know that not too many folks are in a position to be able to play the bass, or guitar, or drum kit, or keyboard, or turntables, that they dream about. Those that can are a pretty small microcosm of the playing world. It's daunting to see what a Canadian Dingwall or F Bass, a US Spector or MTD, a British Status, or Polish Maruszczyk basses cost, so I'm super grateful to be able to play, ALMOST, whatever I want(there will be no Prima Artist in my future). My point is; Play what makes you happy. Play what inspires you to be a better bassist, a better musician, a better human. You guys are awesome at passing on knowledge to those in need of it, just like some of the other clubs and threads I follow, keep doing that.

It's true, you don't need it, it won't make you instantly a better musician and it doesn't guarantee lasting happiness, but even having "just" a Combustion has really inspired me to improve my playing and I enjoy playing so much more on a good bass.
I'm finally starting to nail the music at my church, last week I killed the last song on both services, adding some of my own "spice" on the bass line while not stepping on toes, and finally I felt like I was in the moment, I was there just playing not thinking, I pleased the congregation and the big guy upstairs. It was heartwarming and humbling to have people high five and compliment the performance.
So, addicting, I just need to keep it up!
