It's true, you don't need it, it won't make you instantly a better musician and it doesn't guarantee lasting happiness, but even having "just" a Combustion has really inspired me to improve my playing and I enjoy playing so much more on a good bass.

I'm finally starting to nail the music at my church, last week I killed the last song on both services, adding some of my own "spice" on the bass line while not stepping on toes, and finally I felt like I was in the moment, I was there just playing not thinking, I pleased the congregation and the big guy upstairs. It was heartwarming and humbling to have people high five and compliment the performance.

So, addicting, I just need to keep it up!

And that was what I was trying to say! Play what makes you want to play. Doesn't matter if it's a 10-year old Combustion or a brand new Prima Artist, play what makes you do the things you want/need/desire to do to become a better bassist, a better musician, a better you. If you thought I was saying you need to go out and buy a super expensive bass, then you missed my message. I don't care if you play a $200 SX or a $20K Fodera, as long as it inspires you to be better than you were yesterday. :thumbsup:

All the pickup connections are, but there's still the main ground and hot wire out.

Technically all the pickups are but if youjhave a Dbird switch, the default instructions require multiple connectors into one terminal block point, so you're better off joining them onto a secondary wire which then goes into the terminal block.

I wish, but cant afford it. After I got the AC fixed, the dang washing machine went out and I had to get a new one, now my satellite internet went out....GGGRRRGGRRR.... It happens in 3s. Anyone else notice electronic/mechanical stuff is going haywire?

I do like the Dbird but the ABZ gives a better upper reach plus the Darkglass pre adds to tonal control and the 3x S/P switches gives tons of tonal variation. The wenge neck on a Dbird domestic would feel similar. My fav neck; it may be all in my head but I think I am faster on a wenge neck.

And THIS is not the right time of year for such. It has been where one is almost unable to breathe here and I can just imagine what its like where you are as I did once live in Ft Lauderdale and Andros Island, Bahamas.

It is weird that you mentioned that, the base station that controls our security cameras just quit working and my wife said that our thermostat stopped responding to her phone! Plus, my digital wireless is getting pretty glitchy again.

Arlo says they're gonna replace the base station, and the thermostat won't respond if you're on the "wrong" network. I've been thinking about getting a new wireless anyways, so the analog Sennheiser is on my list.

Still, there maybe there's something to this...

My phone could not send or receive texts or calls yesterday, hence how I missed that practice was cancelled.

It's also wasn't able to contact 911 once before. Thank God it was just a reckless driver, not a life or death emergency.

So I installed my 3X kit, not too bad.
The way they had me wire it I have Bridge, Bridge middle, Bridge neck and Neck.

Sounds cool, but I am noticing that bridge/middle is a bit louder than bridge neck? The pups have been wired Neck bridge Neck. All series connection.

Does all this seem normal?
