Howdy Y'all!
Just recently purchased this Super PJ. My first Dingwall, first passive pickups and first fanned fret bass.
I've wanted a NG3 for sometime and when I stumbled upon this beauty, I knew this was it. Every bass I own is a maple neck and has block inlays so this was the perfect fit. Plays flawlessly and the tones you get outta this thing are just phenomenal. View attachment 3733829

I really wish I hadn't played @KentClarkOnBass Super J. It is so sweet, that I'm actually considering a Super J instead of a Z for my next Dingwall...

That was way more P bass sounding than some actual P basses I've had in the past

As per Jeff at Dingwall, when doing 3x basses, they use neck PUPs at the neck and bridge, and bridge PUPs in the middle.

That might be easier to understand. I didn't think about P-tones that are for the neck vs. P-tones that are for the bridge. Makes sense. What if you have (3) FDVs marked N, M, B. What are they really?

Not sure, because I haven't seen that color in person. Maybe? My D-Roc is matte black.

D-roc custom I've got coming has black hardware anyway.
