Dingwall Owners Club

What's up with that ?????? I didn't think they existed, my NG2 just happened to fit in a Fender hard case that was laying around the local music store !!! I'm not comfortable carrying my baby around in a gig bag !!!

Dingwalls fit in most standard cases, but Sheldon has always more preferred gig bags. For shipping I agree with him, but for carrying around town, I'm always worried I'm going to bonk it too hard. I used a few different style hard cases, but always have to pound out a spot for the strap button. I did not realize these were made. Should we do a bulk order? Hiscox cases are made in the UK.

Anyone here replace the input jack in their Dingwalls to handle a right angle plug?

I hate using a straight and use angles on my Lulls.

Thanks in advance:thumbsup:

It depends on what model you have. The Super Series models handle right angle plugs just fine! ;)
I have used right angles on the Afterburners. You have to turn them slightly, but they still work. With the recessed cup on the Combustion (and I am assuming newer NG2's and NG3's), I just turn the cable around and use the right angle at the amp or pedal and have the straight end at the bass. Not always ideal, but it still gets the job done!

I have a NG2 since I’m wondering if there is an extended barrel or something that can be used, or something along those lines.

I feel your pain. I favor right angles plugs for both cables and my wireless pack and they just don’t play nice with my NG-2 :-(

That might be my only single complaint about my NG-2. Love it otherwise.

WAIT! We have @TonyP- hanging out with us for a bit?! I'm super excited about that! I dig that guy!

As to your question, I wish I had an answer for you but, alas, I'm in the same damn boat. I was checking out options for my wireless pack, and I got excited about a right angle possibility, until I remembered I have an NG-3. Depression.

I'm going to hit up a custom cable maker and see if it's possible to make a modified R/A plug to fit a recessed jack. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything.
