lol
Make sure you have a dark green binding around the outside.
Two questions: Does it go brown > light green > dark green? (pit>flesh>skin) and can I put it on toast?

I was thinking just that. A walnutty brown center, to a nice light green, a slightly darker mossy green, and the edge would be a really thin dark green band, not translucent. It might be too literally as a solid finish, but over a nice burl or flamed top?
...can I put it on toast?
The Mach II had two leads like a regular FD-3 but it was internally wired in series. I replaced the original FD-3s in two Afterburners with Mach IIs and put an FD-4 Mach II in my early Super J. It wasn’t long before the FD-3-4L came out and I updated again so I could have series/parallel switching. The Super Js dropped the FD-4 around the time Super Fatties came out.I'm trying to remember the story on the FD-3 Mach II, which I think was just the higher output FD3, possibly used in bridge location(I may or may not have/had them)?
This top is perfect, brown centre to light green burst then rather than a binding do a dark green contrast layer. Then go totally nuts and put a dark green quilt on the back

I'd sell a body part for that...
Keeps things interesting. I’m sooo glad we don’t all like the same thing. One thing that I find remarkable is how different tastes are when it comes to basses. The one in @AB Nate 's post for example. Yeah, nice. But honestly, not something I'd want. Yet others are drooling over it (or offering body parts).
(before people expel me from the forum - I do of course want that Z3(?), but if given the choice, I could show you 20 other finishes on Dingwall basses that I would much prefer... including the one on the Z1 that's on its way to my house and that is for some reason still hanging out in Montana... Darn You, FedEx!!!!!)
I think I should order an ABZ6.
