Excellent! Warren G would be proud. Very tight playing.
Sorry to derail but you must prefer your Cali to the UAD 1176's. Do you notice a significant difference?
Mo should be able to build that for you.Anyone here with 3x pickup dingwall experiment with a 6 way rotary switch to open up the neck pickup?
I'd like to be able to do something similar to the following and am wondering if i can do it with this [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
- neck solo
- middle solo
- bridge solo
- neck/middle parallel
- middle/bridge parallel
- all 3
Is that the blue to purple color shift? It looks really great when it's blue. Now I'm tempted to get a D-Roc for drop B tuning...
For my tastes, these new D-Roc basses the coolest, most comfortable, and best sounding basses that run $1,500 - $2,000 USD. I am so happy for the Dingwall crew and how these are turning out! Hopefully major success comes with them![]()
The Vintage Burst fives from this latest batch are having a similar effect on me. I need to sell some things...I thought I had successfully fought off the D-Roc Standard 5 GAS. Having those feelings again, lol. Perhaps resistance is futile?
Yep. That’s the pull I was feeling. And then most recently “hmm, those color shift are pretty cool too”The Vintage Burst fives from this latest batch are having a similar effect on me. I need to sell some things...
Color shift would look cooler with a maple or ebony fretboard. Change my mind...Yep. That’s the pull I was feeling. And then most recently “hmm, those color shift are pretty cool too”

Stop enticing me, I was waiting for a metalflake aqua five D-Roc to become available. It varies hugely depending on the light source & angle of the light. Sometimes it's a very dark blueish gray, then blue ( as shown ) then a mild purple shift
I think they've altered the colour slightly on the Korean ones. It's not as bright a colour as the 4 strings seemed. I like it though. It's a more subtle colour scheme.
Man, you guys have some amazing basses.![]()
I recorded a short clip with the NG3 and the TI flats. Rotary is neck + bridge parallel. A little bass boost, slight low mid cut, a little more on the high mid. This is straight from the bass into a Scarlett V1 2i2 with a little compression. If you would have told me two weeks ago I could get a tone like this with a maple fretboard, the extra scale length, and a Darkglass preamp of all things I would have told you to get help.
I'm hooked...

That sounds great! I'm also curious about the TI flats as I can't stand how low tension they are on a 34" instrument. Do they have more tension on a Dingwall?
